Byebye Hagaren manga...hello, omakes or something

Hagaren ch 108 marks the end of one of the best manga stories out there. *no spoilers* but can I be a smidge sad that May did not end up with Scar?...hehe. ~10/10 rating~ since I cannot think of a better action manga that was as enjoyable and ended up as satisfying as this.

I don't play, but I want this chess set! about 9800 yen...so cute. Where can I preorder it? :D (ETA: darn, it might be mail order only)

It burns me so much that I missed being in Japan for Hagaren's ending by a mere two months. Hagaren started half a year into my first stint in Japan, and it's been one of the main constants through nine years of Japan life. Plus, as you've already mentioned, it was one of the most consistently amazing series I've encountered. I'm gonna miss it like crazy.

I'm glad it got a happy ending. When that chimera-girl got killed in the beginning, I had my doubts as to whether the mangaka was an optimistic writer or not, but I'm glad she pulled the main characters through. Darn manga, it'll be hard to find something as exciting.
