Quick impression~ I thought this would be an shonen anime similar to that of Naruto or Bleach, but it's definitely more like a cheesy Saturday morning kids show. The first episode focuses on a lame wizard pretending to be from the Fairy Tail guild in order to get girls. Natsu, the main male character, Happy, his cat and Lucy, the main female character defeat him. I tried reading this manga a few times and never got into it. Snippets of the story sound interesting, but really, it isn't written all too well. The comedy was bordering between annoying and cute. Lucy is unexpectedly the main character rather than Natsu...who keeps looking like he should be. Lucy doesn't show anything special that would make me want to watch this, and Natsu...eh, zzz. (a crossover note: the mangaka re-uses the white mascot character, Plue...though I'm not sure if it's the 'same' character)

Letter Bee 2! Lag is an adorable crybaby. I thought Gauche would be presented more impressively than he actually was, but I supposed his role as a mentor was overshadowed by his role of Lag's friend. It is an obvious friend-turn-enemy setup. His earlier explanation of how the heart guns work foreshadows what will probably happen later on.

As a side note, I didn't realize Asada Hiroyuki was the mangaka of Tegami Bachi, since I only associated him with I'll CKFC, the basketball manga. The character design is similar, but general style is quite different. I found Tegami Bachi's panels hard to read. I guess this means that I'll has been completed...time to look for the rest of that manga..yay..but boo, looks like the scanlators went MIA at volume 11 (out of 14 volumes).

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood 27! Yeah, a new opening and yay! getting closer to some very exciting story elements. This episode was a series of flashbacks and scenes of Hohenheim comtemplating...the appearance of Pinako was confusing at first. I enjoyed the fact that this episode reiterates some important points that coincide with the recent manga chapter. This was probably the best flashback episode I've seen out of any given series.
