The School Library Journal has an interesting article up about the top circulating titles. Surprisingly, 'The Wallflower/Yamato Nadesico Shichihenge' is at No. 1. Actually started reading it..but forgot about it, but I'll put it back on my reading list. Naruto, Vampire Knight and Death Note are predictably on the list, but another unexpected title on the teen list is Shugo Chara. I think that that manga might give me cavities. Did a double-take at 'Loveless' on the adult list. hehe. :)
Mailed my abstentee ballot in yesterday since whoops, I failed to register on time in my new state.
BoA's US debut music video, Eat You Up, is lurking about. Fun to watch, but eh, she sounds better elsewhere. It's definitely better than Utada's US debut attempt. It's only better because BoA doesn't try to use a word like 'japanezy'...koreanezy, anyone?. Would it be so bad to take one of their asian hits and just sing in english? The Korean version of Eat You Up is also in english, but the video has more dancing and is in a different setting. I am amused at the fact that there are multiple videos with subtitles.
ETA: haha, rumor has it that the US version got so many bad reviews from the online community, so they aren't going to use it anymore. Smart move.
