I wish Krispy Kreme donuts weren't 50% oil & sugar. I'd probably enjoy eating them more, but yum, that first bite is good. I miss Mister Donuts. Even Dunkin Donuts was good.

Death Note 25! referred to the Bible or a wet t-shirt contest. Anyway, warnings to all as it is THE dreaded episode. It was beautifully animated & directed, Misa got to sing, and the drama was great; the glowing, red eyes--still expecting lasers to shoot out of Light's mouth. The next episode looks like a review episode.

Romeo x Juliet 1! (the 'x' makes it porn hip) Like Seirei no Moribito, there is stunning background animation here.

+ Lovely animation & cgi from Gonzo
+ Josh Groban's song, You raise me Up, is the opening sung by Lena Park with nice visuals
+ Whooshy capes galore
+ Awesome flying horses

+ Really gay character named William who is a playwright and is called Willy (uh huh)
+ cute background music
- plain ending visuals with a weird rock song.
- the main characters blush whenever they see each other *gag* and there are rose petals...and a wind machine.

Quick impression~ A young boy called Odin runs around town in a mask and red cape to save innocent victims of a cruel government. Odin is Juliet. During one encounter with the local law, she is saved by Romeo. Romeo's father is the law and apparently killed Juliet's father when Juliet was really young (thus, she doesn't really remember the event). Juliet is coerced into going to a ball and meets Romeo again. Enter pastels and blushing. I enjoyed the first episode. It moved quickly and had simple humor. Although the character design is plain, the fantastical setting is well-drawn. The horses are pretty and there are some pretty decorations.

I do think the main characters are already the dullest ones on the show, and I am so rooting for the evil father (who bears a resemblance to the Count of Monte Christo). The side characters from the opening song also look interesting.

I was part of the advanced English class that read Hamlet instead of Romeo and Juliet, so my only knowledge or this story probably came from the Dicaprio movie. I do hope that they stick to the original ending. Otherwise, it's not really Romeo and Juliet.

I was just looking at the trailer for RomeJuli just now. You're right about one thing... blushing makes me gag and the wind machine + petals is laughable.

I'm still gonna watch it tho. For the laugh/gag factor. Maybe I just wanna see them die at the end, hopefully. They'd better...

i fear the main characters may possibly be too 'cute' to die, but i do hope they do, too.
