Isn't it the longest week ever....
and I totally hope Harry gets to show us his bankai...oh wait..he does..well, his real-life person does next spring on some stage in London.
jdramas members have been putting up some great stuff lately.
Lovely Complex was as corny as advertised, but it was cheerfully entertaining. The setting must be in the early 90's judging by the music and OMG-eye-popping colors used. Summary: Tall girl and short boy get together...(not quite like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes). The actress who played Risa, Ema Fujisawa, was really very cute in her portrayal. Teppei Koike as Ootani was also cute, but the height difference wasn't all that much. For someone who looked so small, he does have nice muscles...haha. The rest of the cast were odd in that they all looked 10 years older than the age the characters were supposed to be. Maybe that was a part of the comedy.
I'm not sure how well this follows that manga, since I've only read a few chapters. The movie does skip across the years pretty quickly (10th grade to 12th grade). Needless to say, they meet, fall in love, tears are shed, climactic battle happens, and then all is happy.
The special parts of the movie are the old tunes used throughout the movie and the quirky cast...and bright colorful clothes.
Totally recommend it if you want some cute fluff.
