yahooo betaaa
Aug. 2nd, 2006 06:37 pmYahoo beta is slow and jerky. I like how 50% of the time I have to click back to the original version.
Tokyopop's new site is horrendously bad. They seem to be going for the eye-gorging and brain-numbing effect. It took me a few clicks to figure out where the f***ing the manga list was. I had to endure several grotesque links to fanart, fanfics, fancomments...ugh.
We think that this kind of site will bring in more fans to manga and the Manga lifestyle. Yes the Manga lifestyle - with a capital M.--jim, random blogger from Tokyopop who is aware of the messy clutter...but is 'working' on it.
I think that translated into "Buy Pocky from us" or "Upload your crap and we might hire you."
I'm also sooo fond of their new idea of only releasing certain manga to Rightstuf, but that's another rant.
-----------------
The highlight of my day (besides Tuxedo-Subaru)....
Honey and Clover ended with chapter 64. *spoilers* I'm glad the mangaka ended it the way she did..thus, being on the other side of the shoujo stereotype. Very little is definite, but it's satisfying...at least for me. Not every manga has to end up with boys and girls pairing off*coughfurubacough*. There seems to be talk of a spinoff.
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle chapter 124...huh, that's great and all *squee squee*, my only question is-- where's Fuuma?
