I have never read any Earthsea books. Here is the sum total of my knowledge of the works of Ursula K. LeGuin: 1.) Those Who Walk Away from Omelas, 2.) When they made that Earthsea miniseries for the Sci-Fi Channel, LeGuin more or less called the producers, director, and writers retards and said they did a terrible job of adapting her canon, and, 3.) She translated (or possibly wrote, depending on the meta) The Kalpa Imperial which is one of the best books ever and a bit like Tolkien, had Tolkien been funny and sexy and less British. And not OCD over elves.
...So Miyazaki named his son Goro? Is there really something wrong with him? Why shouldn't Goro direct? I would go to see any film created by a person named Goro. I find this fascinating.
I also went to sleep and almost fell out of my chair while that trailer was playing.
I need images/specs to make you layouts, you know. And I have the practical memory function of an Alzheimer's-prone lab rat. Just a thought.
goro looks like an oven-baked pimp in the pictures i've seen. they've never said why miyazaki doesn't want his son to direct. if the movie sucks, we'll know why.

there's this guy who's not so smart and he gets a head operation a mousy named algernon gets the same operation mousy gets really good at maze puzzles guy gets really smart and makes lots of friends, and finds a girl then he gets too smart and loses all his friends then mousy gets dumb and dies then guy gets dumb again, and loses girl
started watching the kdrama, 'hello god', but wasn't sure i wanted to stick it out. it's based on flowers for algernon. kdramas tend to have a slower pace than jdramas. 'hello god' is about a retard, haru, (who is hot..but initially believable as a retard), a doctor (who wants to do brain surgery on the retard and wears too much lipstick), and a girl (a con-artist looking for someone who stole her money).
do you have the korean channel in CA? apparantly it is showing there with subtitles. the group at daddicts is using the subs and fixing them. haha. (but they are slow).
