Sock-wearing bunny fairy <3
Apr. 8th, 2011 11:59 pmI was just thinking to myself that I needed more pastel and sparkles in my viewing schedule now that Kimi ni Todoke has ended....

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi 1! I didn't expect to like this series all that much, since the character personalities are very similar to those in Junjou Romantica, but the show is pretty funny.
+ Pastel! Sparkles!
+ Funny
+ Yaoi
- Mediocre animation
Quick impression~ While the OVA revealed the background story, the anime series starts with Onodera Ritsu beginning his job at the shojo manga department of Marukawa Publishing. He's is very much like Hiroki from JR; a spastic book-fiend who always works hard. The editor in chief is his first love from high school, Masamune Takano, who has the brick personality of Usagi/mi from JR...also a sex-fiend and smart at what he does. Anyway, the first episode covers Ritsu's first day at work. Both guys don't really remember each other from high school. There's a lot of pink. You kinda gotta hand it to Shungiku Nakamura for drawing a story about what she knows, the publishing industry, and making it a fantasy for yaoi fangirls.
