It's not love.
Mar. 31st, 2009 11:26 pmUm..I better hold off on the last episode of Boys Before Flowers before I decide to throw something at the screen.

Soul Eater 51! the end. I'm sure the manga fans were weeping over the changes. You can tell at which point the anime's storyline started straying from the manga. It was when the anime started lacking the depth and humor that the manga continues to contain. On the other hand, the animation was always fresh and consistently stylish. I'm sure the series could be popular with the action-loving children. The anime tended to focus its attention on Maka and Soul, and while all the other characters hinted at interesting stories, the anime never delivered. I almost thought Maka was going to defeat the Kishin with 'Love'...but the message her mother sent is what saves everyone. The fact that her mother was never really elaborated on made the message sorta lack any real meaning. The whole message from mom was pretty random. *spoilers* Isn't the point of the manga the relationship between master and weapon? How random was it for Soul to get saved and then thrown aside and then Maka becoming a weapon and then her defeating Kishin without anything? ~7/10 rating~ for an anime series which sends you to the manga halfway through because you know you are missing something. Ah, I'm also glad that Shinigami survived...to not do anything useful. Way to go.
