Kuroshitsuji 24! the end. Despite the writing being very unfaithful to the manga and even incoherent many times, I liked the general creepy mood of the anime; gutsy violence and yuckiness. I'm glad we got to see a version of the contract being fulfilled in the anime, and I'm glad Sebastian's anime-true-form has black-heeled boots. Maaya Sakamoto did an awesome job as Ciel and I liked Sebastian's character, too. The side characters, however, were uneven. The servants were cute, but the Shinigami got the worst writing ever. I think manga fans were disappointed with how this turned out. Like many, many other anime series, it started out true to the manga and then just got bad. The ending was interesting, but didn't seem canon to the manga. This series gets a ~7/10 rating~ for succeeding in capturing the flavor of the original, but lacking in quality writing. I do hope Sebastian and Ciel get that kind of ending in the manga, too. I'm sure it'll be better. I liked the current chapter...hehe.
A manga in the same type of light horror genre would be any of Yuki Kaori's works. Ludwig Kakumei would make a lovely anime...AND it's already finished, so the anime writers wouldn't have to think of anything other than following the original.
