The lovely licensed manga...
Nov. 4th, 2007 09:39 amSo I decided I could deal with a couple spelling errors like 'a lot' to 'at lot' since spellcheck would bypass that. I could deal with someone talking in the 2nd person and then switching to the 3rd person in the next panel...though it made me pause. I could also deal with random translation errors like 'single bed' to 'silk bed'..even though the mangaka would not say that that certain character had a 'silk' bed. I could even deal with a 20 year old Japanese boy sounding like a 40 year old ghetto woman...though it makes me roll my eyes. But if they translate 'gohan' to 'dinner' when someone has just woken up aND there is 'good morning' in the next panel, they obviously aren't paying attention to the work itself. I guess totality of the irritants isn't too bad. I will still purchase the next volume, because surely, surely, there will be less of that in subsequent volumes?
