They can't count.
Jul. 28th, 2007 10:27 pmHey! There are only 5 members of Hey! Say! 7. What's with the 7?
Because I ate ice cream for dinner, here're a bunch of random things...
Dark Horse x CLAMP~ that was unexpected. I only had the Oh My Goddess! manga through that company from a looooong time ago (Sailormoon days). It was a good print for that time considering that in comparison, Tokyopop's Sailormoon was horrendous. Most of their manga catalogue seem to be old school classics. I think this deal with CLAMP is a venture into the current mainstream. Have to admit to being optimistic about Dark Horse, since Joss Whedon's titles are with them, and their monthly Mangettes idea is pretty intelligent. Instead of flooding the market with mediocrity as the other companies are doing, they seem to want to advance the market by pacing itself with Japan in a new way.
BTW, Tokyopop's new site is even less user-friendly than its predecessor. Why put fanart and their worst title on the front page?
bumpybear asked me for some manga recs the other day. Thought I'd list them and some more here. Not-quite-popular manga that I am sorta following~
Eensy Weensy Monster by Tsuda Masami
Shiawase Kissa Sanchome by Matsuzuki Kou
Golden Days by Takao Shigeru
Otomen by Kanno Aya
Ludwig Kakumei by Yuki Kaori
Tokaido Hisame by Matsunaga Kuuya
...also Tokage Ouji by Izumi Asuka looks quite cute.
(didn't want to scare her with my explicit yaoi recs....*grins* saving that for another day...maybe)
Umm, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei's opening for episode 4 needs an appropriate rating...like 'WTF.'
