Naruto Shippuden 1617! I think you are supposed to feel reeaally bad for Gaara. The writers want to you be sad and bawl your eyes out. Kakashi and Gai's groups finally reach the cave that Gaara's in after 20 minutes of Gaara's sad life. Can't get enough of chibi-lonely-Gaara. Will there be exciting action next?


Romeo x Juliet 9! *spoilers* Willy's conversation with Juliet makes me think that he'll write a tragedy because it'll get a grander audience, but the anime will end happily. Also in this episode, Camio was so clearly a bad guy, it became rather idiotic to watch them fall for such an obvious trap. Ophelia (a character originally from Hamlet) informs Montague that the mysterious tree of mystical power needs love not corruption & gold; information that probably leaked out Montague's ears as soon as it was said. Francisco looked like he had a hot quickie with Tybalt at the bar. Transparent, but entertaining episode. Does Romeo have a spine?


Nodame Cantabile 20! Great episode! Nodame would rather bribe the judges than practice, but since that is not an option, she practices. It's probably too bad that she seemed to pick the pieces at random. She seems to enjoy some composers more than others. The R★S Orchestra's next concert attracts new musicians including the amusing Noriyuki Takahashi who wants to see Chiaki naked. Nodame makes it through a few rounds of competition. The one judge who looked very thin & stern in the jdrama looks pudgy and cute in the anime.
