Nodame Cantabile 12! completely missed the fact that it's been 3 weeks since I've watched this show Anyway, this episode furthers the story as Chiaki and Nodame play the Rachmaninoff (I swear I spell that wrong every time). Once again, piano renditions of non-piano pieces are pleasing to hear. Rather than a dance-remix, I'd rather have a piano-version. Since the anime (as opposed to the drama) adds a little more detail to the story, the impact of Nodame's lack of professional ambition is more clear. Admittedly, a lack of ambition doesn't seem that bad to me. ^_^. I so want a Kazuo lollipop.

Ookiku Furikabutte 1! Only anime would attract me to baseball...or not.

+ The one boy is grasping the hand of another in the opening song...uh oh.
o The main character is a total uke wimp with a wimpy timid voice.
o Nicely animated
+ Cute faces
- Slow Pace
- Forgettable opening/ending songs & background music

Quick Impression~ A wimpy boy joins a baseball team as an ace pitcher. I read some of the manga a few weeks ago and it wasn't as funny as it could have been. The anime is the same. On the other hand, it seems to have a strong fan following...but I suspect this is almost like the Prince of Tennis type of fannage...where fanart and fanfic run amuck. The main character, Ren Mihashi, spends the first half of the episode trying not to cry and imitating a Peep. And then the second half trying not to make love-love eyes at the catcher.
