hey, spike's on superman...hm, that doesn't sound right. nekid spike....i mean brainiac's on superman. ha ha...excellent..is joss whedon writing the script? (maybe i'll watch this season) speaking of...

"It probably isn't fair to Joss Whedon's "Serenity" to say that this unassuming science-fiction adventure is superior in almost every respect to George Lucas's aggressively more ambitious "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith." But who cares about fair when there is fun to be had? Scene for scene, "Serenity" is more engaging and certainly better written and acted than any of Mr. Lucas's recent screen entertainments."--nytimes. i guess that means it's not too bad.

finished anansi boys. it's a fairly enjoyable book, but fizzles out much of the potential comedy by the end and turns into a lion king musical complete with a song and dance routine and a circle of life theme although it's too bad the kids didn't eat the parent..still waiting for a great book about that. if not for the bit 'o sex and violence, it would be a sort of children's book (maybe with the sex and violence). although this and american gods have to do with gods, they both don't really have anything to do with gods (but maybe they want to? or maybe he just uses 'god' to make them sound important ). if you like neil gaiman, then you'd probably like this. if you don't, it wouldn't be the book with which to start. anyone want a signed copy...just kidding, i liked it and it was funny cute in places, even if it made my cavities twinge.

in other news, since my anime blog has been having difficulties, i will wail about the end of honey and clover here. *weeep weeep, wail wail*
