went to a new creamery near my home. ppl were raving about the homemade ice cream and in-house mixing. soooo, we went. the homemade ice cream is actually vanilla ice cream with artificial flavoring. so you have rows of flavored ice cream with NOTHING inside. so if you wanted strawberry ice cream, you'd get pink vanilla ice cream that has a tad of strawberry flavoring. if you wanted actual strawberries in it, well, thus, the in-house mixing. they take the strawberry flavored ice cream and put a slab on the mixing table and then throw some strawberries in it and then mix...sorta like how the japanese restaurants cut and cook in front of you. i got a child-size cup of deep dark chocolate...for $2.80 (i think that is expensive). it tasted nothing like dark chocolate and alot like vanilla. sometimes ppl think something is good because it costs alot. beware. anyway, the best ice cream is in italy...gelato. tons of flavor and smooth texture. and the cream doesn't sit in your stomach like most american ice cream. and so inexpensive. yay. the best dark chocolate (which you can find in stores) would be godiva's dark chocolate ice cream.
