Mid-season episodes are always good.
Darker than Black 11-14! Sorta forgot about this show, but then I saw the C.C. wannabe and more Pizza Hut references on other blogs and felt the need to watch it again. I'm betting this show will end up on the Cartoon Network. Pizza Hut not only supports Code Geass and DtB, it looks like it'll show up on a magical girls show, Precure 5, too. Right now, there's a special DtB wallpaper on the homepage. Japanese pizza hut pizzas look more disgusting than Wendy's new Baconator.
I couldn't really follow 11-12 at all. I guess that was the purpose of that storyline as with all of them; give a little, but create more mystery. Hei is contracted to get a piece of meteorite from a lab inside the gate; the gate of mysteries. It causes him to have flashbacks. We see his little sister...who is probably another key contractor with mysterious powers.
Haha, I like the Death Note reference in episode 13. 13-14 are about Yin and before she became a doll. The whole contractor not having emotions make no sense if they keep showing every contractor with emotions. Anyway, these last 2 storylines are excellent as we learn a little more about Hei and Yin. Even Bertha's story was touching. Yin's cute factor went way up, too.
Btw, new opening and ending and more C.C. wannabe who made cameos in both storylines will be featured in the next episode.
