Got a dump of snow yesterday

Nodame Cantabile: Finale 3! Stresemann's manager, Elise, has a new seiyuu. She sounds so unlike the old one and very mismatched. I think some of the other characters have new seiyuu, too. Anyway, Nodame & the butler were cute. Chiaki finally meets Viera-sensei.

Letter Bee 17! Dwelling a bit on the music, I miss the previous opening song, but like the new ending. As previously mentioned, this was a rehash of the OVA, but I think there was a little more on Largo Lloyd's relationship with Elena & Darwin. It was rather sweet. (blech for another filler next week).

Mulan

Almost dropped the live-action version of Mulan halfway through watching it. It was pretty dull on the eyes. There was a random 'white' character played by Vitas (a Russian opera singer) who was the bad guy's 'play-thing'...ok, it would have been interesting if he was the play-thing, but he just was there for oddity sake, and to sing some songs. I wasn't expecting anything close to the Disney version, but it started out pretty much the same. Mulan takes the place of her father in the army, is made to kill, and lead for the sake of her country. The prince who is hidden as a lesser commander/general in the army encourages her even when he finds out about her gender. And since I'm not recommending this, *spoilers* the prince is made to marry the enemy's princess for peace leaving Mulan back with her father. Such a lackluster finale. Well, at least the whole nationalism theme is intact. Bland acting, fighting and production. ~5/10 rating~
