It's the necklace!

Darker Than Black - Ryuusei no Gemini 2! Tiny bit saddened to see that BK is not the main, main character this time around though he has gotten plenty of action. It looks like Yin is dead which is depressing since she was a cute BL fangirl. Not sure what's going on yet, but I enjoy the antics of the Spike-Spiegal-guy and his comrads. Could the missing meteor piece be more obvious?

My Girl is a sweet story about a young man who finds out he has a daughter from an old girlfriend that recently past away. It's not that the story is particularly compelling or anything, but the artwork by Mizu Sahara (or Yumeka Sumomo for the BL fans) is very elegantly drawn. And now there's a live-action version:

My Girl 1! jdrama featuring Arashi's homely-looking member, Aiba somethingorother. The live-action version of the manga is full of gut-wrenching scenes of a clumsy father trying to accept a change in his life and raise a kid...or actually full of cliches that will put you to sleep. Um....I'd rec the manga over the drama. Now a drama version of Yotsuba&! would definitely be entertaining.

Went to see Where the Wild Things Are today. *generic comments ahead* It's a very thoughtfully made and beautifully shot movie. I agree with what most of the critics have been saying; awesome soundtrack, a few slow parts, not fitting the mold of a kid's movie. I think my original copy of the book is growing mold in the basement of my parents' house..along with the Babysitter's Club books. I did pick up another copy, and was amused to be surprised at the very little amount of text. :) Anyway, the theater was full of adults and their children. There were a few laughs, but I get the impression that the adults should 'get it' more than the kids. The opening of the movie really captured the essence of the book. The worst part of the movie were a half dozen or so previews for lame CGI children's movies before it started...though I suspect the kids in the theater think the opposite.

Letter Bee 3! Gotta 'rabu' the humor in this episode as Lag picks up a little girl who is hiding in a 'niche' in the wall. Now, if someone could explain 'lag seeing' to me...
